The changes appear to be saved successfully. However, when the user reopens the task, the previously assigned contractor is still displayed, indicating that the updated contractor assignment was not saved.

This behavior is incorrect because any modifications made to the contractor assignment during task editing should be persisted and reflected when the task is reopened.
