Description

When the user denies permission to access health data (Sleep and Steps) from the device health platform, the application still allows the health data synchronization process to proceed and displays a successful sync status.

The application should validate the required health data permissions before initiating the synchronization process. If access to Sleep or Steps data is denied, the app should prevent the sync operation and display an appropriate message asking the user to grant the required permissions.

Steps to Reproduce:
  • Login to the application(Btrainr).
  • Navigate to the Health Data Sync feature.
  • Connect the health data provider (e.g., Apple Health/Google Health Connect).
  • When permission is requested for Sleep and Steps data, select Deny/Don't Allow.
  • Trigger health data synchronization.
  • Observe the sync status.
    Actual Result:
  • Application shows that Sleep and Steps data synchronization is completed successfully.
  • No permission validation is performed before syncing.
User receives an incorrect sync success indication despite no access to health data.
    *Expected Result:
  • Application should check Sleep and Steps permission status before starting synchronization.
  • If permission is denied:
  • Sync should not proceed.
  • User should see an informative message such as:
  • "Health data permission is required to sync Sleep and Steps data. Please allow access from settings."
  • User should have an option to grant permission again.
